Mello - John Lennon was a person with a lot of inner conflict, a bit of a bad boy, and had mommy issues but he was also quite intelligent.
Near - George Harrison was called 'The Quiet One' and he was also a genius
Ringo - Popular and charming, I can imagine Matt playing the drums
